Evolution brands NetEnt and Red Tiger online slots to launch with South African operator Supabets

After gaining approval from South African market regulator Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER), Intelligent Gaming tier one sports betting brand Supabets will finally be able to launch the slots portfolios of Evolution brands NetEnt and Red Tiger.

The newly inked deal builds on an existing partnership between Evolution and South African operator Supabets for the former’s Live games suite, as the latter expands into the online slots vertical. It also makes the Intelligent Gaming brand one of the first operators in the country’s iGaming market to offer a slots selection.

Under the current arrangement and having worked closely with the MER, online casino software developers Red Tiger and NetEnt will now supply Intelligent Gaming’s leading sports betting and casino brand with 175 slot games to start.  That means, supabets.co.za customers in South Africa will now have all-new slots choices within the operator’s already substantial games lobby.

Executive Statements:

“We are ecstatic to finally have MER approval for the launch of the NetEnt and Red Tiger world class slots offering. We are confident they will do very well with Supabets and we look forward to adding the portfolio to our remaining SA clients,” read a statement from Marc Palxton-Harrison, Managing Director for Intelligent Gaming.

A top tier supplier of digital content to operators in South Africa, Intelligent Gaming’s Supabets is one of the most popular online betting platforms in Africa. In addition to South Africa, the leading sports betting and casino brand that launched in 2008, also boasts a vast retail and digital business in other African countries including Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.

Also commenting on the new agreement, Dean Finder, Chief Executive Officer for Evolution Services SA said in a company press release they are “delighted” that they have the opportunity to expand their partnership with Supabets in a deal that gives the operator access to their portfolio of Red Tiger and NetEnt slot games.

“We hope their players will enjoy the diversity of the portfolio, as there truly is something available for everyone to enjoy.”

New Home:

In September 2019, the Swedish online casino games developer (NetEnt AB) acquired Red Tiger Gaming, which at the time had around 170 employees at offices in Malta, Bulgaria and the Isle of Man.

A year later, in yet another industry mega-merger, Evolution Gaming Group, which develops, produces, markets and licenses fully-integrated live casino solutions to gaming operators, announced it would acquire the Sweden-headquartered digital entertainment company  in a deal worth approximately €1.9 billion (USD2.1 billion).

The two companies combined, provide games for all the UK and Europe’s biggest online casino sites, such as PlayOJO, Playluck and Bonzo Spins.
